Farmer's Market

I love baking and had always thought it would be so cool to sell baked goods at a farmer’s market or bakery. Unfortunately there was a law that said I had to have a certified kitchen before I could sell anything. Two weeks ago I found out that this law had been changed. I was pretty excited!  Mom and I got materials and I started baking the day before our local farmer’s market. Mom suggested I sell my tried and true recipe, Scottish Shortbread. So on Saturday morning I arrived in Charlotte with my goods, table, and canopy. It was really fun... there was a thunderstorm, I sold about half my stuff, and it was great having Mrs. Bacon right next to me! Here are some pictures of the shortbread in it's packaging.

Assignment with a Cup and Saucer

I'm doing a lighting for photography class this semester.  This was the first assignment, photographing a white cup and saucer. These are the pictures I submitted and some other ones I didn't submit. :)

My Fiber Owl

I was first exposed to the fiber arts when my mom became interested in felting and creating with wool. Before then I had sewn and created things with fabric or textiles in general but I had never done anything with wool. This is a fiber owl I made a while ago for my Mom. He's the first piece of "fiber art" I've created and it was a lot of fun! He's made with wool felt, wool roving, and burlap. I did some needle felting, hand sewing, and a little embroidery.
And my sisters make super cute things...the little owl on the bottom is something Evy made for me. He's going to be a key chain or a cute decoration for a purse or bag.
