Embroidery
...is really fun. I embroidered this little decoration on woven fabric then sewed it into a little pillow. I'm not sure where I'm going to hang it yet but it could go on a door knob, or be used as any type of ornament. I have a big book called "Erica Wilsons Embroidery Book" (the book is an old withdrawn library book, sometimes those are the best!) where I found this stitch called Chevron Filling. I also learned how to make fringe, which is very easy to do. Below is a picture on how to make one.

Anna's Elephant
Anna made this Elephant as a christmas present for me. He was made to be a tree ornament but I don't plan on packing him away with the other ornaments. He's going to stay out all year.

Evy's Bird
Evelyn made this adorable bird totally from scratch. She made the body out of paper mache, then glittered it, glued on the feathers, and made the branch out of gold wire. Pretty awesome.

Lighting for Photography
I finished a photography class a couple weeks ago. These are a some of the pictures I took for assignments. I learned how to light different setups, such as glass or a white subject on a white background. The pictures below show some of the setups.
On a different note, Evelyn made an adorable robot called an Ebot (E for Evelyn :). I used it in my 'lighting metal' assignment). She used all sorts of metal pieces found around the house. He has a measuring cup head and a frosting tip hat!
